We offer financial support in order to provide various forms of interdisciplinary exchange to examine whether and how sex and gender dimensions are relevant in one’s own research.
The offers are advertised in each case.
Calls can be found here.
Researcher in Residence (started 2024)
Are you interested in the question of whether and how gender dimensions could be relevant in your own field of research?
In order to discuss this question in your own working environment, we financially support guest residencies at the TU Braunschweig. The guest residency makes it possible to discuss this question on site with your own research subject in a collegial exchange and thus diversify research at the TU Braunschweig and develop new perspectives.
Guest residencies are usually advertised twice a year. As long as the funds have not yet been fully utilised, applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. Please ask the GeDiMINT-team for more information. You can find the latest call here.

Research Impulses (started 2025)
Would you like to conduct interdisciplinary research and are interested in developing research impulses with a view to sex and gender dimensions in your field of research in STEM research or with a focus on STEM research?
We offer researchers at TU Braunschweig financial support for this, which is aimed at engineering, life and natural scientists as well as social scientists and humanities scholars. The aim of the research impulses is to create a space for interdisciplinary exchange in order to discuss ideas in temporary (new) collaborations, to determine the impact for research and to develop ways to implement them in research projects. This can take place in various forms, e.g. through a symposium, a closed meeting, an exchange with guest researchers, a methods workshop or other creative formats. Examples can be found below.
The call for applications takes place annually, usually in autumn of the previous year; in 2025 it took place in January. You can find the most recent call for applications here.
The list of possible formats is purely illustrative, but gives you an idea.
