Planned information, awareness and training events can be found under Dates. You are also welcome to send us your own suggestions via gedimint@tu-bs.de; we will take these into account in our planning wherever possible or look for individual offers.
In general, we offer three different kinds of events:
Short inputs – can be requested at any time
At the start of the project, short inputs on the importance of gender dimensions in STEM research will be held internally at the TU to provide general information on the relevance of the topic. Here, we will also give orientation on the offers of the GeDiMINT project. In addition to being integrated into events organized by the Research Service and the central HR development department, this short input offered by the GeDiMINT team in German and English can also be requested individually, e.g. for a meeting of a faculty council, a research network or a graduate colloquium.
Information and awareness workshops – twice a year
Between 2024 and 2027, one or two information and awareness-raising workshops (half-day) per year will be offered. They will use participatory elements and methods. They are meant for research service and staff development as well as the researchers from various fields, collaborative projects and researcher training groups (e.g. postdocs). Conducted by the GeDiMINT team in German or English, the workshops are interdisciplinary and besides the target groups open to all interested persons.
Qualification workshops as specialist in-depth training – as required
In order to consider gender dimensions in the focus of various STEM disciplines, additional qualification workshops are offered on demand. They are meant for addressing special issues especially when entering unchartered territory when it comes to implementing gender dimensions to one’s research field. If necessary, expertise from other universities will be requested to enrich the professional exchange. You are welcome to let us know your specific for a research endeavour (in planning or already in progress): Write to gedimint@tu-braunschweig.de.
