During the concept phase of the funding guideline “Geschlechteraspekte im Blick (GiB)”, a number of funded projects joined forces to support each other during the application phase and to plan joint activities. This initiative gave rise to the idea of various networks for exchange during the implementation phase. They are each linked to email-distribution lists that have currently been set up. Interested persons can register here to join one of the distribution lists.
GiB-Netzwerk
All employees of approved GiB projects in the implementation phase are invited to join the GiB network for networking purposes (if you are interested, please contact us). The purpose of the network is to exchange information about the structural development process, to agree on joint projects, to provide information about upcoming projects and to coordinate a joint transfer of knowledge. Networking enables mutual support and the generation of synergy effects.
The list of participating GiB projects will follow here.
GiB-Transfer
This mailing list aims at all organisations and individuals who are interested in knowledge transfer from the GiB network (contact us if you are interested). In addition to information on programmes and findings, the aim is to create a space for a joint exchange on structural measures to strengthen sex and gender aspects in research. In person invitations are sent to the meetings of the GiB-AG; further meetings can take place online.
In addition, GiB-Transfer enables a cross-location exchange of expertise and offers the opportunity to support each other in the search for materials, speakers and information. Networking in GiB-Transfer also offers GiB projects from the concept phase that are not receiving further funding the opportunity to participate in the process.
GiB-MINT
The mailing list is aimed at funded and non-funded GiB projects as well as interested institutions that have a recognisable connection to STEM research (contact us if you are interested). It enables an exchange on special requirements in the communication of sex and gender aspects in STEM subjects as well as networking in Science and Technology Studies. This includes STEM expertise as well as the search for materials, speakers and information in the STEM field.
GeDiMINT is a BMBF-funded project at TU Braunschweig. It was initiated in cooperation with the Braunschweig Centre for Gender Studies.
