The InnovationHub is intended to establish a space for exchange across disciplines, taking the gender dimension into account. In this context, the initiation and implementation of innovative research ideas is promoted through dedicated formats and incentive systems.
With innovation islands to the InnovationHub
Individual planned or existing research associations, working groups or interested researchers form innovation islands by sharing their experiences, needs and ideas with the IH2E project. While the InnovationHub is designed together with the innovation islands in terms of form and content during the concept phase, this cooperation will form the basis for the InnovationHub in the implementation phase.
InnovationHub: science formats and incentive system
The aim is to establish a structure suitable for TU Braunschweig that supports the integration of the gender dimension in STEM research. In a dynamic process, an InnovationHub is initiated through networking, support and advisory services, which builds on the triad “interdisciplinary exchange – identification of links – joint research”. The formats of the InnovationHub can contribute to
- offer space for exchange across disciplines
- strengthen mutual dialogue between peers within TU Braunschweig and with external parties
- impart knowledge
- to promote gender and interdisciplinary competences
- to stimulate interdisciplinary networking
- to support steps of relevance check
- to raise awareness of the gender dimension in STEM research through incentive systems
- support research processes
- to make information for support, tools for relevance check, suggestions for research work as well as realised measures publicly accessible (repository)
- to achieve visibility and initiate transfer
IH2E is a project of TU Braunschweig. Funding was raised in cooperation with the Braunschweig Centre for Gender Studies.
